Bee Word Puzzle # 6
- Details
The Bee Words is a Word Seek puzzle with a grid having hexagonal cells. This peculiarity allows the word to spread sinuously in the grid. The goal is to discover the letters of the secret word. For that you have to fill the grid with all the words from a list at the bottom of the grid. After that the remaining letters in the grid form the secret word. I present you a 15x16 grid of this puzzle.

Yakazu # 2
- Details
I present you this week the Yakazu puzzle. This is one of the new puzzles I have added to my bow this year. It's a logic puzzle that's part Sudoku, part Kakuro and part crossword. In a grid shaped like a crossword puzzle, you have to enter numbers (instead of words). The numbers you have to enter depend on the size of the available space (the sequence of white squares I call an entry). So, for an entry of size 5, you'd have to enter numbers from 1 to 5, and for an entry of size 6, numbers from 1 to 6, etc.. The problem is that very often a cell belong to vertical entry and a horizontal entry, each of which has a different size. For this cell (the one common to both entries), the size of the minimum entry must be adopted. Ex a cell is part of an vertical entry of size 2 and a horizontal entry of size 6 then this cell could have only one or two. Finally, this rule doesn't apply to entries of one cell only, in which case we take the limit of the other entry that crosses this cell. See the rules link below, where everything is explained, with examples of how to solve it.
This game is fascinating, and when I discovered it, it reminded me of the interest I felt when I discovered Sudoku in 2005. But the best thing is to try it out.
Here are two grids, the first of which is 7x7, indicating that the entries will never be larger than 7. The second, more challenging, is 10x14, while the maximum entry size is 9 (i.e. using the numbers 1 to 9).

Welcome to the new version of my website. I have finally managed to m igrate to the latest version of my content management system. It had been almost a year that my old version was not supported and I was receiving messages urging me to change. So I have the version 4.3 of Joomla and they are already announcing version 5 for a near future. This new version is faster and more reliable...we will see. I believe that the general presentation of my website is better. Updating my site gave me the opportunity to clean things up and correct a few things.
For example, I'm adopting a more standardized presentation for my articles. For example, when a help file (rules) exists, there will automatically be a reference. The books section will be updated more easily. In addition, for each book I'll give 5 Amazon links. I've also updated the "about" section with more recent photos. All links should work. There are still things to complete, but I'll be able to do that as I go along. If you find any bugs, don't hesitate to let me know.
Samurai # 2.

The first puzzle that I have published is the Samurai in 2008 on an obscure website. Then in 2013 I republished on Amazon. I don't why I don't often present this puzzle. Being working on my website for the migration to Joomla 4, I have the occasion to think about the origin and the evolution of my works. This is why I want to present you 2 Samurai. Also I want to use the new article format to present my article. Notice the use of an icon instead of writing The printable files PDF.
