My name is Martin Duval. I created Innoludic in 2015 in order to obtain a larger public for my puzzles. Because I am a puzzle creator, In fact, I am a craftsman because all by myself I have developed algorithms to create puzzles. What I like the most is to create new puzzles, modify existing ones to increase their ludic aspects. All began in 2005 with the appearance of Sudoku, at first I liked to resolve this puzzle, but sooner I began to be more interested in finding rules to resolve them, and above all how to create them. At this moment I knew that I had more pleasure in creating puzzles than in resolving them. Gradually I touched other puzzles than Sudoku like Kakuro, Futoshiki , Battleship, etc. Against it was not enough, I began to surf the web, looking for unusual puzzles, asking me how to improve these puzzles, how to render these puzzles more fascinating.
Finally, I succeeded in creating totally new puzzles like the Hyper Sudoku 3D, the Spark Sudoku, the word Search 3D, Hidoku puzzles with many shapes. I did not limit myself to Sudoku and his variants. I touched to dot-to-dot puzzle, word puzzles, logic puzzle and labyrinths. I have created over 100 different puzzles. In 2099 I began to publish on Amazon puzzles books, in French and English, since that I have published over 80 books. So in 2015, after a lot of procrastination, I decided to learn a lot of new stuff related to the conception of a web site in order to create Innoludic and to promote my puzzles and books. And, like it was not enough, I have the crazy idea to publish a bilingual website English/French. I handle my website in the same manner that I develop my puzzles and my books: all by myself which implies a lot of trials and errors ( I told you that I am a craftsman). I edit by myself my books and I have created all the covers (I assume the peculiar look of some). You can judge my evolution just by looking at my first cover and one of my most recent ones (2022)
This website is for the puzzle fan that looks for original and unusual puzzles, for puzzles never seen elsewhere. I try to publish it once a week. It requires a lot of energy to maintain this rhythm. But up to now I have fun to do that. I hope that this website will enjoy you and don't be afraid to communicate with me.
Finally, for the human touch, I am retired, I am married and a father and a grandfather. I like reading, I read on average 25 books each year (in French mostly but also in English). I like to travel and to have a good meal with my friend and family. I like playing soccer even if I am a very "ordinary player". I live near Montreal.
Before leaving I want to explain the choice of a parrot for the logo of this website. First of all, the parrot with the crow is considered like one of the most intelligent bird. Also the parrot likes to play. I believed that this describes well the people visiting Innoludic. Secondly, I think that is more cool to draw a parrot than an iguana or a tarantula.
